CONTENTS OF THE LIST
The HARRIS LIST contains all the information you need to create a successful show year. There is no superfluous or filler data and there are no advertisements.Shows are presented chronologically beginning in January and are organized into seven national regions:
- California & The Northwest: California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington
- The Southwest: Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah
- Midwest: Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Wyoming
- Southeast: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North & South Carolina, Tennessee
- Florida
- North Central: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin
- The Northeast: Maryland, New England, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Virginia, West Virginia

Comments: often include more about the location, fee commissions, the kind of crowd, what sells, increases in fees, and anything else I think you should know about the show.
Space and jury fee Space size # of artisans in the show The ratio: 45/45/10 gives the % of fine artists/% of fine craftsmen/% of traditional craftsmen participating in the show actual attendance and admission fee closing date: when the application is due.
The Rating System: ratings are in parentheses, sometimes with a subscript to the right, to indicate a slightly higher rating than the rating listed (u), or weaker than the rating listed (d). Ratings are as follows:

| (G-T) | Between a good and top show |
| (G) | A good, stable show. |
| (?-G) | Between a marginal and Good, stable show |
| (?) | Marginal Show; a gamble. Holds some promise, a possible “filler” show between major shows. If you see a “u” or “d” placed to the right of the rating as in (G)u, this indicates the show is rated slightly higher (u) or lower (d) than the letter rating given. |
Note that I use a “tiered” rating system which describes what is really going on out there. Notice that a number of shows have the same rating because they all perform at the same level. There are not just 200 top shows out there that are clearly delineated by a number from 1 to 200.
